In this new study, led by Akshay Jaya Ganesh and Sandra Fernández Moya , we have investigated the role of the RNA binding Protein STAU2 in the control of human neurogenesis using single-cell transcriptomics and molecular biology approaches. Our results show that STAU2 regulates the speed on neurogenesis by controlling the activity of the gene regulatory networks coordinated by the Transcription factors ARID3A and CHD2. You can find the results of our work in a pre-print on bioRxiv here.

We present here SCALPEL, a new tool for isoform quantification at the single cell level. In this work, we show that isoform quantification is a powerful tool to gain novel biological insights using single-cell data, including the identification of novel cell populations and the inference of miRNA function. If you want to know more about the work you can find the preprint. here and the software available on GitHub.
